Welcome Alex!

Alex came on board in late October 2022 to manage the accredited training arm of ATOD.

Coming from a teaching, assessment and operational background in both the private and public sectors, Alex has a passion for high-quality education and delivery of student outcomes. In the mid-2000s, he taught English to primary and high school children in South Korea before returning to Brisbane to work in a variety of operations and compliance management roles. This was followed by a stint as a lead auditor at ASQA, the sector’s VET Regulator, and consulting work during the pandemic.

Whilst it is true that he has no dance experience whatsoever and is fairly un-coordinated on a dancefloor in general, Alex does have a creative side, playing in a number of bands over the years on guitar and vocals. Last year he put together a solo album of songs, jamming with fellow musicians on the project.

Alex is looking forward to his journey with ATOD, working with our valuable partners and collaborators to further improve the training and assessment services we provide, and is excited about working with the organisation as it grows into the future.
