Examination Rule Book

  • Members are required to refer to all details in this Examination Rule Book.

“Be in the Know” Exams Guide

  • Refer to this guide for a walkthrough of Exam timelines and processes. This will help you understand how to go about processes, examples to follow, FAQ and who to contact for the various aspects of exams… amongst much more!

Acrobatic Arts Pin Examinations

  • If wishing to enter students for Acrobatic Arts Pin Exams, please click on the link above first. This is to check that they qualify to complete Acrobatic Arts Pin Exams on an ATOD Exam Day, before submitting for.
  • If able to proceed, it is highly important to submit for Acrobatic Exams in your Exam Date Request form to ensure that a qualified ATOD Acrobatic Arts Examiner is allocated.

Submitting for Exams

Examination Date Request form – Opens 6 January and is Due by 1 March 2025

  • Refer to pages 2 to 5 in the Be in the Know Examinations Guide to assist you.
  • Click on the link above to access and submit your Examination Date Requests.

Paperwork leading up to Exam Day – 4 weeks out

Exam Planner Program

  • Click on the above link to access Exam Planner. This is where you enter student details, create your exam timetable and access your exams invoice.
  • Your Exam Plan is due at least 4 week before your exams.
  • Refer to pages 6 to 12 in the Be in the Know Examinations Guide to assist you.

Submit your Exam Plan form

  • Use the above link if  you missed completing this required form in Exam Planner, at the time.
  • ATOD require copies of your Public Liability Certificate of Currency and Music Licence by this 4 week mark too.

Equity Amendment Application

  • Required 4 weeks before exams should you be applying for a student. Supporting documentation is to be uploaded.
  • Click on the above link to submit.

Omitted Exercises

  • Refer to the above link to ensure you are following the Omitted Exercises process. This document also includes the number of exercises that can be omitted for each genre/grade.
  • Due at least 1 week out – email your Omitted Exercise list in a document to admin@atod.net.au

Injury Release 2

  • To be submitted within 48 hours of your exams starting and no later than 2 hours of your exams starting.
  • An Examiner is not able to commence your exams on the day if this form has not been submitted.
  • Click on the above link to submit your Injury Release 2 form.

Be ready for Exam Day

Examiner Preferences

  • Refer to the link above to find out a little about your Examiner, including a photo of them (you may want to show your students leading into the weeks before exams!)
  • This document also includes the necessary information of Examiner preferences/requirements for the day ie food, access to power etc

Theory Books and Theory Sheets

  • Theory Books for Ballet (Bronze Medal to Gold Star), Tap (Bronze Medal to Gold Star) and Musical Theatre (Level 3 to Level 7) are required to be presented on the exam day to Examiners. Members are to purchase directly in the online store in the Member Login site – 1 per student.
  • Theory Sheets – Get excited! We will share details with you pertaining to Theory Sheets soon for Tap and Ballet.

If a student has missed an exam due to injury/sickness

Refund Request

  • Click on the link above to submit for a Refund Request. This is required to be completed within 6 weeks of your allocated exam date.
  • Refund requests are processed once we have received the exam results from the Examiner.
